ONE-OF-A-KIND WEARABLE ART
KW Jewelry Artist Kathleen Walters discovered her passion for making jewelry at a young age. As an adult, she has devoted much of her time to honing her sterling silver craft by studying metalsmithing and jewelry fabrication at the Fine Arts Institute in Irvine, California and the Revere Goldsmith School of San Francisco.
Kathy Walters' bold, sophisticated, one-of-a-kind sterling silver jewelry pieces are designed using a variety of metals, natural stones, antique Venetian glass, carved jade, and antique beads and bobbles collected during her world travels. Her handcrafted, contemporary jewelry is dramatic and creates an exciting, emotional response that makes each piece a work of art.
Kathy Walters' original sterling silver artisan necklaces, bracelets, and earrings are available for purchase year-round at 2nd Sundays in
Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia.
Her artisan necklaces have been featured in the Bowers Museum, Orange County, California.
She has successfully shown in the One of a Kind Show Chicago,
Arts in the Middle Fine Arts Festival,
Visual Arts Center of Richmond’s Craft + Design,
McLean Community Center: Holiday Art & Craft Festival, and many others.
KW Jewelry Creations are exclusively Kathy Walters designs.
The jewelry store provides each sterling silver piece of KW jewelry with an anti-tarnish bag, which helps to keep your silver looking like new. If cleaning is required, please use a soft silver cloth to polish. Do not use strong dips or silver polish which can scratch your piece.
A simple way to remove tarnish and brighten her jewelry is by taking a glass bowl, line the inside with aluminum foil Add four to six tablespoons of baking soda and enough hot tap water to cover your piece. Soak for 30 - 60 seconds, remove and rinse in cool water, dry with a soft cloth.
Use warm (never boiling) water with opals, pearls, turquoise, and other delicate stones.
Due to the handmade nature of each piece slight imperfections may be visible. This in no way alters the beauty of your piece, it is simply a stamp of the authenticity of the art’s work.
